Hi again, it has been a while but im back and hopefully somebody will find here what they were looking for.
Changes to a systems BIOS or UEFI may cause the system to boot abnormally. If you are having trouble booting your system, you may try to reset your BIOS/UEFI settings to default. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds, or until your system shuts completely down. Power on the system. The BIOS is the basic instruction set that “teaches” the computer how to access its media. If the BIOS is password protected, the computer will not function without the password. BIOS passwords are used in two ways: To prevent modification of the BIOS settings and to completely stop the computer from booting. In this quick video i will show you how to boot from USB stick and enable the boot menu (F12) in the Bios (F2). Its similar to the most acer laptops / notebo. December 2016 Accepted Answer. Thanks but I only needed the first ten. Your netbook supports up to 4Gb - DDR3 - 1333MHz (1x4Gb). Original memory modules: Spoiler. SODIMM.4GB.DDR3-1333 (Micron) KN.4GB07.001.
So how often you will set bios password and forget it and after while you are trying to access your laptops bios and don't remember password... well... that never happened to me and don't believe there's to many people like that around:). Its actually funny when you read.. that my kids managed to install bios password and now i cant access laptop... maybe!!! NOOOT!!!
Most of my laptops are coming from offices so they will have bios passwords installed by the system admins so users could not mess up some important settings so no Mickey Mouse PS.. but whatever your reasons are to unlock Acer bios password here is very simple tutorial how to do it and if for some reason it doesn't work then don't blame me since it is free service and no warranty given :)
So how to remove or reset Acer laptop bios password:
Ok let start - turn on your Acer laptop and immediately start pressing F2 button on your keyboard, F2 button is used to access bios so now you should see 'Enter Current Password' - enter wrong password 3 times and you should see 'Enter Unlock Password', now press enter and you should see your Unlock Key... take a note of that key and go to BiOSBUG.com, enter that key into search field and press 'Send Request' button and few seconds later you should get your Acer bios unlock key.
Now take a note of that key and go back to your laptop and enter that into 'Enter Unlock Password' box and if successful you should be in bios, now in bios go to security tab and press enter on Set Supervisor Password and little box with 3 password fields should pop up, enter your unlock key from BiOSBUG.com into first field which is current password field and leave new password field and confirm field blank just hit enter 2 times. Now navigate Exit tab and press on Exit Saving Changes and that's it.. your laptop should have no bios password anymore and you should be able to boot to Windows OS or whatever you have installed.
